Conference Time
Feb. 28 and 29 are Parent Teacher Conferences. Please sign up with your child's teacher if you are interested in meeting and discussing your child's progress. If you have specific concerns or questions this will be a time to talk with your child's teachers.
Happy New Year! - That is "Chinese New Year!"
A parent in one of our classrooms came in to the class to talk about how her family celebrated the Chinese New Year. She brought along with her some items to show to the class. Mrs. G read a book called "Lanterns and Firecrackers A Chinese New Year Story" to the class. She talked about how the color red represents luck. Small red envelopes with money are given to children for good luck also. After learning about the customs a snack of orange slices was enjoyed by all!
Everyone enjoyed listening to the story she brought along.
We learned how to say "Happy New Year" in Chinese as well as what "Year" we were born in.
