Box Tops for Education & Campbell Soup Labels
Please continue to save your Box Tops with the following label:
Our school earned $35 by collecting the box tops during the last two months! We will be using this money for materials and books for the classrooms. Thank you to all families that contributed this spring. We will continue this program next fall so be sure to save and let the grandmas and grandpas know about this easy way to earn money for the school.
We will also be collecting the Campbell Soup labels for future purchases.
Student Orientation Times - September 4 & 5
Starting August 18 new families may call the school office to schedule a time (about 10-15 minutes) during the day . If you are new to Peaceful Pathways Montessori this is a perfect time to bring your child to see the classroom and meet the teachers. Please plan to bring only the student attending our school without siblings. This is not required for returning students.
Returning Elementary Student Orientation
On Friday, September 5 from 9am - 10 am students returning to the elementary classroom (grades 2 and up) will meet. Parents do not need to stay for this orientation time.
Classroom Assignments
Classroom assignments and a newsletter were mailed on August 7 to new families. Returning students (unless moving up to elementary) will be in the same classroom as the 2007-2008 school year. Both the teachers and car line times will be the same as last year also. Cedar House Students - drop off is between 8:15 and 8:30 - pick up time is 3:15. Children's House drop off is 8:30 - 8:45 - pick up time is 3:30.

Parent Orientation
Wednesday, August 27 - 7:00 p.m. at the Children’s House Campus. Please plan to attend this informational evening. We will be handing out supply lists, parent handbooks, talking about expectations, and answering your questions. This evening is for parents only. Please plan to find childcare for your children during this evening. This date is required for both returning and new parents. (note this is at our Children’s House location at the corner of Route 126 and Route 47). Please bring along physical forms and vision forms if needed.
Smart Tuition Statements
Smart Tuition will be taking care of our billing this school year. The first statements have just gone out. If your statement looks like there is an error be sure to check your account online as we have made account corrections over this past weekend. If you have any other questions please leave a message at the school office and we will return your calls this week. Thank you for your patience as we get this system set up.
Physical Forms
All new students and Kindergarten students are required by the state of Illinois to have an updated physical form on file at the school. This form should show that all immunizations are up to date and that your child is able to participate in school. This is a standard state form that you can get from the doctor’s office by calling them and letting them know your child will attend school in the fall. Returning students entering Kindergarten or students that have had new immunizations since last year’s physical form should bring an updated copy.
Vision Screening
Public Act 95-671, effective Tuesday, January 1, 2008, requires that all children enrolling in kindergarten in a public, private or parochial school and any student enrolling for the first time in a public, private or parochial school shall have an eye examination.
- Each such child is to present proof of having been examined by a physician licensed to practice medicine in all its branches or a licensed optometrist within the previous year before October 15 of the school year.

SMART Tuition Forms
There are still several families that have not turned in their Smart Tuition Forms - we need to send them in right away. Please complete the forms and mail them in to the school office. All families need this form on file even if they are paying the whole tuition at one time.
Smart Tuition Enrollments were due Friday, June 20. If you have questions about the form, please leave a message on the school phone and we will call you back as soon as possible. Thank you!
